Our Homecoming was actually Thursday night because she is a cheerleader for the Pee Wee Football team. I snapped a few pictures Thursday night, but I was sitting directly in front of them, which made zooming out an impossibility. I also videoed their "half-time dance." Although, half-time didn't go nearly as smooth as it normally did. They are use to two dances and having their names called out and some time between each name. But not everything is perfect every time, that's life. I must commend our boys, we are now 3-0 and our defense has given up NO points!

North Alabama State Fair - It's the Fair Y'all!
It's that time of year again, that's right, it's time for the fair. Who was excited? Well, everyone except my husband... He can't ride rides, he gets sick on a merry-go-round. He knows I pick on him, and yes, it's picking not being mean and making fun of him. I know it to be true, even though I've never seen him get sick, he can't even read directions in a car while it's moving without getting nauseated. Bless him! Yep, I'm in the South and blessed his heart, are you confused? "Google it." Well, that's what my husband tells me all the time, if you have questions, Google knows the answer.
Anyway, back to the fair... I was super excited that we were going with our "extended family," I guess you would call them, our "Besties," is another term for them, the Murrays. We went Saturday and for the first time that I can remember it wasn't 96 degrees and muddy. Although it flooded almost the whole city that Monday, the mud was gone by Saturday. I can't tell you how many shoes I have ruined at the fair over the years, I mean without fail it was always muddy. And HOT, ok so we are in Alabama, so most people would think we would be use to the humidity here, let me tell you, that's something you DON'T get use to. This year, big bright beautiful son, a dry ground, and a great breeze. This was starting out to be a great day.
We arrived and walked Lil' Man up to be measured :( 35 inches, and he would have to be 36 inches to ride things. A pain in my side, but I figured we would entertain him somewhere. Bracelets were up to $25 a piece (they were $11 in my day) boy I sure have turned into my parents, talking about "back in my day." Ha ha. After spending that much, I sure was planning to get my monies worth! On to the rides...

My CRAZY husband and His Silliness With the Kinect
This was SO funny (to me) that I just had to share.
This video was filmed the night of our anniversary, that you can read about HERE. After that silliness, my husband and friend started a game of football on the Kinect. For those living under a rock that have no idea what a Kinect is, it's Microsoft's answer to Nintendo's Wii. It plugs into your xbox 360 and you don't have to hold anything, as in no holding onto a controlled like the Wii. It actually "sees" your body. Nothing against the Wii as we have that too (although it has been collecting dust since we got the kinect). They are seen here, playing Kinect Sports, Season 2.
My husband is on the left in the orange Auburn Shirt. Boo! Roll Tide! :)
The next night when they began to play I sat by on the couch watching thinking there was no reason to have two videos. Boy was I WRONG! They were playing a game of tennis (that is on the same disk) and my husband swing his "racket" so hard that he face-planted on the floor. Bahahahaha! So I decided to get up and video. Of course nothing that GREAT would happen with the camera rolling, but it's still funny.
My husband in on the left again in the Garfield "Employee of the month" shirt.

5 Years and Counting
So, we did things backwards, by that I mean, our daughter is ten and we are celebrating our fifth year being married. But it's ok, he views divorce the same as I do and we know come high water, we will be screaming at each other in counseling LONG before we call it quits. So, this is number five, it should be a big one, right? Well, not in my little, non-throwing of parties world. Yes, it's BIG in my heart, but not in the budget.
We started the day with taking our Lil Man to his two year check up. You can read about that HERE. Then after picking up our daughter from school, I ran to Wal-Mart to get our cake. Yes, we got a cake, I mean after all, my husband has put up with me for five years, lol.

Mommy-Brain Mixer {Co-Host}
This week I am co-hosting the Mommy-Brain Mixer over at Two In Diapers. Cassie, your host, blogs about everything "Mommy", the good, the bad, and the funny. I am happy to be co-hosting this week and I hope to "meet" some new friends.
Here is a video that I shot today of my little AJ. He just turned two and is borderline autistic and non-verbal. He goes to speech therapy twice a week to learn sign language. To my delight, he serenaded me this afternoon and I happened to have my iPhone handy and this is what I captured.
Welcome to week 7 of the Mommy-Brain Mixer, ladies!
Last week we had an amazing 108 link-ups! The Mixer is growing like crazy!
If you haven't noticed, one of my favorite things to do here at Two In Diapers is to share stories about motherhood and my littles. One of my favorite things about sharing these stories is your comments with stories of your own children!
Welcome to...
At the Mommy-Brain Mixer, we will be linking up our writings about anything and everything motherhood!

Girls' Day and Full Body Massages
I have been side by side with my son since his birth, two years ago. I have only been away from him for short amounts of time and only one night. That one night was on our anniversary and my husband and I stayed at a nearby hotel to relax for the evening, only I didn't sleep a wink, I couldn't relax being away from my lil man for the first time.
I was in need of some relaxation. Back in February, I purchased two massages at a discount on Tennessee Valley Deals. Expecting to use them with my husband, we continued to wait to try to find a time that was convenient for us. That time would be in the summer, when we could leave our children with my parents. We couldn't leave AJ with my dad without our daughter because he's disabled and can't handle AJ in all of his glory by himself and my mom works from 8-5. Well, summer came and went and the massages were forgotten about in all the hecticness that is summer. When school started back, I remembered these massages and then I saw the expiration date: August 31, 2012. What to do?
