Where Are You Going to College? My Daughter's Answer
While watching Gossip Girl on Netflix, my daughter begins to tell me where she wants to go to college. On Gossip Girl they are applying to Yale. Yes, I know I'm only in Season two so I am behind. My daughter says, "I'm going to Harvard or maybe Stanford." To my amazement I had no idea she knew anything about Stanford, I mean she's only ten. I just said "ok," and continued to watch the show. She then replies, "I really want to go to Harvard, but I guess Stanford would be ok." I had to ask, "Why Stanford?" I get a shocking answer that I burst out laughing at, "Well, I'm going to a good school like Harvard, but I'm at least going to a school that ends in "erd"." Ha ha ha ha.. yes, we are from and live in Alabama, I guess that's how we say Harvard and Stanford. Oh Ellyssa, how you light up my life. I love being your Mom.

Tricia,
ReplyDeleteEven though your daughter is only 10 , time will fly by and before you know it she will b e off to college. MY daughter just graduated from college this past April. Enjoy her while you can! Dropping your kids off to college is so hard. I live in Colorado but my daughter attended college in Malibu, California and now she lives in LA. I am returning a follow. Thanks so much for following me.

ReplyDeleteActually, for whatever reason, your GFC button doesn't do anything when I click it. I am the guy from twitter BTW and I asked you to follow my blog. Thankfully, there is a workaround to follow your blog. Copy-n-Paste the following URL, it is the FOLLOW link to YOUR blog. It is the same link that people would be transferred to if they were to click the "Join This Site" button on your GFC area
