Dental Cleanings

I got a reminder call yesterday to let me know that BOTH of my babies were going to have their teeth cleaned at 2:30 today. Wonderful, right in the middle of AJ's new nap time of 1:30-4:00. At 2 o'clock we headed towards the dentist office. Upon arriving at the dentist, this is what I found in the backseat.

I took a deep breath and gathered my thoughts, getting ready for the battle ahead. But to my wonderful surprise, he didn't even wake up. In fact, he slept the whole time we were in the waiting room.
Lyssa went first and went on to the back like a big girl and it wasn't until AJ was called to the back until I figured out why she was still in the back. I was shown x-rays of two permanent teeth that couldn't come in because her baby teeth were in the way. Bless her heart, she had no cavities, but had to have three large back teeth pulled. Thank goodness they were baby teeth so their roots were shorter and smaller, but I know it had to hurt.

Next up was baby AJ, this was his second cleaning and he did great before so I wasn't worried.
He did great when he realized there was a tv in the ceiling. He did wonderful, he has 13 teeth all the way in and three that have broken the surface by just a little. And the best part is no cavities for either of my babies. Now it's time to help my baby girl with her pain and get ready to watch some Alabama Softball, it's the Championship game after all.

  1. I wish our childrens' dentist had a T.V. in the ceiling. Sad that Lyssa had to have teeth pulled, but good that she handled it well. Great post!

  4. The dentist-- what a nightmare! My kids are actually suspicious of the tv in the ceiling... Birdie wants to know what it is she is supposed to not notice because she is watching SpongeBob. Ha!

Love the pics and your writing style! I will enjoy following along with your blog.
