Daddy's Day 2012

Yesterday was the day we honor and give thanks to our dads.  I know technically it's "Father's Day," but any man/boy can be a biological father, it takes a real man to be a dad.  So I say it's Daddy's Day.  I was always close to my dad and I still am.

He has always gone out of his way to spend as much time with me as possible and to be a part of my life.  I always told him everything and he always knew "who liked who" at my school and about all my friends.  I am blessed that my parents are still happily married and I get to spend time with both of them.  This year they will be celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary.

The kids and I laid around the house and watched tv all day because my husband had to work.  When he got off we headed to my parents to grill out.  The kids played while my husband grilled.  These are a few shots I took with my phone because I forgot my camera, I know, big shock right?
they found Lyssa's old tricycle
I think she may be too big for her baby slide now
move Sissy
After we ate they decided to play some basketball, even though it was beginning to get dark.
Lyssa shooting and making it
Letting AJ play
Now, I wanted a picture of my hubby with our children since it's his day, but with AJ and his borderline autism, it's hard to get him to look and when I would get him to look the other two weren't, but these are my attempts :)
not sure why both my husband and daughter had "crazy eyes"
Before leaving for the night, I had to get a picture with my dad, Santa Clause.  It's a little blurry because I took it myself from my phone, but it's still special to me.
After we left and went home, we put the babies to bed and cuddled up and watched some American Ninja Warrior on G4.  I think it was a great Daddy's Day, even if their gifts didn't make it here yet.
