Soundtrack to My Life

Welcome to all the Mom 2 Memphis and Ruby readers.  Today's Tuesday 10 is my 10 favorite songs and why.
1. Blake Shelton - God Gave Me You
This is my ringtone for my husband and
I couldn't think of any better way to say what he is to me.
My husband was put in my life for so many reasons
And we complete each other.
2. Guns N' Roses - Sweet O' Mine
This is what my dad hears when I call him.
I am an only child and as they have told me my whole life,
"the only joy and delight they thought they needed."
Now, you can take that as mean or sweet,
To me this song says it all.
3. Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl
Another one of my dad's ringtones
This one is when my mom calls.
Married almost 38 years and still so in love.
4. John Lennon - Imagine
So so so many reasons
So much thought in each and every word.
5. MercyMe- I Can Only Imagine
A song that brings me to tears each and every time I hear it.
The most moving time I have heard this song was
When I saw it done in sign language at the Church my
Husband grew up in, First Baptist of Greenhill
6.Selena Gomez & The Scene - Who Says
A song I have loved for a long time, since I first heard it.
I needed this song recently and it's so touching.
I try to have my daughter listen to it often.
7. Miley Cyrus - The Climb
I have come to realize lately that it doesn't matter how many "breaks"
I take before I finish my Bachelors Degree or
How long it takes to buy our first house
There's always going to be something that you have to fight for or work towards
But the journey getting me there is a journey that is making me who I am.
8. The Five Stairsteps - Ooh Child
Some days I just have to sit back and realize
Things will get better
Things will be brighter
9. Jason Aldean - Dirt Road Anthem
This is one of my husband's favorite songs
He grew up in the country and has now moved to the city
Where there's nothing but stress and "he said she said"
10. Bruno Mars - Lazy Song
We all have those days
And if you say you don't, well you're lying.
This is currently my generic ringtone.
If you aren't programmed in my phone and you call me, this is what I hear.
